Aaron Partsafas, MD

About

Aaron Partsafas, MD, chose his profession at a young age when he saw a surgeon restore his sister’s use of two fingers following a household accident. “I was 10 years old at the time, and my interest in medicine was piqued,” he recalls. “I was drawn to become a surgeon because of the satisfaction of immediate results.”
Today, Dr. Partsafas emphasizes the importance of simple communication and excellent customer service. He believes that patients need reliable information to make the best decisions. He considers his most important role to be an educator, so patients can be optimal partners in their own health care. Dr. Partsafas's medical interests include aortic surgery, peripheral bypass, endovascular aneurysm repair, treatment of venous disease, and varicose veins.
Dr. Partsafas earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Oregon University. He went on to study medicine at Oregon Health & Science University, where he earned his medical degree, completed his residency in general surgery, and finished his training with a fellowship in vascular surgery.
As a native Oregonian, Dr. Partsafas is a fan of all things Oregon. After graduating from North Medford High School, he served as an Army medic for five years before pursuing higher education in his home state. Outside of his busy work schedule, he loves steelhead and other salmon fishing, camping, and being outdoors.
